We continue to work to ensure the integrity of the game and the health of our servers by blocking unauthorized access and at times by banning offending accounts. This includes blocking bots, data scraping operations, and banning end user accounts associated with those activities. Some players may not have realized that some add-on map apps do more than just show you nearby Pokémon. Each end-user app can be used as a collection tool by the app creator, invisibly collecting and forwarding data to the app creator with or without the knowledge of the end user. These apps can have an effect similar to DDoS attacks on our servers. Because of this we have had to ban some accounts associated with using these add-on map tools, leading to confusion by some users about why they were banned. This is a small subset of the accounts banned.

As a result of some changes made to our infrastructure, we are now able to unban this set of accounts. Add-on maps which scrape data from our servers still violate our Terms of Service and use of them may still result in an account ban going forward. Accounts whose sole purpose was to scrape data are not being unbanned. Accounts which used apps or websites to remotely capture Pokémon, battle or deploy on Gyms, or harvest resources from PokéStops are also not being unbanned. Our main priority is to provide a fair, fun, and legitimate experience for all players, so, aggressive banning will continue to occur for players who engage in these kinds of activities.

Pokemon goes Niantic update on bann

Did you get banned from playing Pokémon Go subsequent to downloading an application that you thought may make the amusement more fun? Indeed, for reasons unknown you may have the capacity to get once more into the raving success title all things considered.

Two or three weeks prior, Pokémon Go-creator Niantic Labs pledged to take action against con artists with “lifetime” bans for the individuals who utilized outsider “extra” applications to stretch out beyond whatever is left of us. Presently, in any case, it has backtracked a little and said it will upset the bans for “a little subset” of clients who may have unwittingly broken the guidelines.

Niantic said in an upgrade this week that a few clients who downloaded unapproved applications, for example, area spoofers or others that scratch information, “might not have understood that some extra guide applications accomplish more than simply demonstrate you close-by Pokémon.” Though they are assuming the best about these games, specific since the “close-by” tracker was expelled from the diversion for some time, they will be banned on the off chance that they depend on utilizing any outside applications as a part without bounds.

This utilization of mercy is in reality restricted. The extra applications themselves are not being unbanned in light of the fact that, Niantic said, they put the significant burden on the effectively focused on Pokémon Go servers — and after that, there’s the way that they give an out of line preferred standpoint to the individuals who downloaded them.

“Our fundamental need is to give a reasonable, fun, and genuine experience for all players, along these lines, forceful banning will keep on occurring for players who take part in these sorts of exercises,” Ninatic said in an announcement.
